Review of Bistro by the Tracks

Last night my husband and I checked out Bistro by the Tracks in West Knoxville. First impression when parking was, "This looks like a cute, little restaurant!" Our first impression walking in was, "Wow."

You walk in, and immediately see this grand, fully-stocked bar and  comfy seating area. As you pan back up toward the hostess, you notice the huge seating area meant for large parties on the back wall, accompanied by a tall wall of various wines.

The menu in itself is exquisite, and my genre for the selection (all the way down to the burger option) is "gourmet." There are not pages upon pages of choices, but merely a quaint number of small plates and salads, along with high-quality meat options, including duck.

My choice for the evening was the small plate, "Melone e Prociutto", accompanied by goat cheese and fresh raspberries- an interesting take on an Italian favorite. My husband ordered their burger, and chose the Sweetwater Cheddar. I have to say, I may order that next time.

Looking for a new place to try, I am quite pleased we stopped in- we now have a great restaurant choice to pick from for birthdays, anniversaries, or even business lunches, right here in Knoxville.
